1) Is it Worth Staying in the Daintree

The first major question you need to ask yourself when going about a visit, is whether or not it is worth staying in the Daintree itself. The alternative would be taking a day trip from places like Cairns or Port Douglas.

In my opinion, it is well worth staying in the Daintree as there are many various activities and attractions to take part of during a visit. By only doing a day trip, you may feel rushed going to just a few of the highlights.

If you stay overnight for a night or two, you will have the chance to truly enjoy various aspects of the Daintree. Whether it is relaxing on a beach, taking part of a longer hike, or checking out a swimming hole. All of these are much more feasible if you stay within the rainforest itself.

3) How Many Days Do You Need in the Daintree

As you can see from the above, there really is a whole list of things to do while visiting the Daintree. I would recommend staying at least 2 days in the Daintree, and even up to 3 if you want to spend more time relaxing or taking part of a longer hike.

During my time exploring the Daintree, I ended up staying for 3 days and 2 nights. I came away very satisfied with that amount of time, and it really allowed me to enjoy my time there without feeling rushed.

I spent the first two days taking part of shorter rainforest walks, visiting beaches, and heading to some sunsets. On my last day, I headed up to the Mount Sorrow Ridge before making the drive back to Cairns.
